Hunter 466 Deck Rigging Plate

Hi everyone. Looking to upgrade Casper to a 466 but noticed this starboard rigging deck plate not layer flat, anyone any ideas why not

That looks like it was repaired. Does your portside plate have the same type of weld?

My first concern would be what caused the problem which required welding ? Those plates are well V'd out for welding and extremely strong. Have to wonder if the shrouds have been grossly over-tightened or some other form of abuse.

Does your portside plate have the same type of weld?

That is not a factory weld. It is not even an acceptable weld for a structural component. Replace the shroud deck plate and check for any other possible damage sooner rather than later.

Hi Dan and everyone. I had not noticed the weld. It's the fact the round plate does not sit flush with the deck
