Ok, I have spent a lot of time addressing :

How to properly illuminate the interior of 49/50 which is about as bright as a cave
This also applies to 45DS

Conversion of 6” CCFL lights to led (inexpensively)

Remote control of your lighting.. including dimming.
My mandate was to make this very robust, easily done by people with minimal electrical skill, and very reasonable cost.
Also, reliability was key.

Stay tuned,.. it’s coming

This sounds interesting.

Hopefully the lights source has low/no EMI noise. That has been the rub for me when sourcing LED’s.

Hi Art. Different model boat, but similar. P42 interior very bright with the large salon window. At night several light sources also make the interior very bright. Most all of the fixtures consisted of bayonet style power hungry incandescent bulbs. Replaced all of them, inside and out, with LEDs from Maine Beam several years ago and very pleased with the outcome with no EMI noise that I can detect. Ditto the courtesy lights, which gives the interior a low light nostalgic/romantic feeling while wandering about at night.

Yep same boat H49. replaced all the dimmable and non dimmable fluros with LEDS.
Very simple.
Remove the original fluro, by pulling down chrom fitting holding the strong spring clips so not to damage head linner
Remove fluro from chrom fitting by slight twist
Unplug fluro and insert almost any led light. I used 120mm dia 9W, 7500k bought in pack of 6 from Amazon
Drop in replacement fits inside chrome housing. Mine are not secured just dropped in, but probably better to secure
Connect led light via existing wiring.
Remove old dimmer, replace as shown in image below.
I just need to clean up mounting of dimmer. I will likely replace all the VIMAR switch's
