Why would any boater be out in these conditions? It's beyond me.
"Stupid is as Stupid does"... Forrest GumpWhy would any boater be out in these conditions?
Reminds me of the stolen sailboat that sank in the storm in the Atlantic.Stolen vessel
Firing squad by the RCMPSo am I to understand, we opened our border to a homeless Canadian, who traveled in some fashion 300 plus miles to Astoria OR, Where he committed several crimes, left a dead fish on the porch of a home. Took selfies of his act, then he stole a boat. Drove the boat out into small Craft warning conditions with the Columbia Bar close to small vessels. Called a MayDay due to boat sinking. Our taxpayer funded USCoast Guard rescued him. Took him to free hospital care. Only to be released and again found in a free warming shelter for the homeless?
I’m curious, How would this be handled in Canada if the situation was reversed?

Holy mackerel! If only he could have gotten his bass out of there, instead of perching his bass on a porch, he might not have floundered in that boat.Because he is a wanted man who stole that boat to get away from Police.
Was it the front porch or the back porch? So he was bass-ackwards?
We'd have given him a touque and a beer...ehSo am I to understand, we opened our border to a homeless Canadian, who traveled in some fashion 300 plus miles to Astoria OR, Where he committed several crimes, left a dead fish on the porch of a home.
