Activity on this forum has been a bit stale lately, likely due to the time of year. So, to liven things up a bit, I've dragged one of my old cruising videos out of the YouTube archives for your enjoyment.

Thank you, John. Lots of fun time on the water. Hoping for another fun year. You and I need to rendezvous for that beer...soon! Time to get Hadley seaworthy again. She coming together okay?

WEATHER is the current delay. Need temps above 40º so I can paint her bottom, refit some thru hulls, and install the rebuilt engine/transmission. I wake every morning and look at the 15day forecast. Lately it has been disappointing.

I am hopeful and thirsty.

Can not wait.
I have some bottled wine to bring. Not sure if it competes with your Black Box.... but it is pretty good.

I'm finishing a couple of minor boat projects this week. Also retiring soon - my last day is Tuesday. A buddy is coming in from Boise next Sunday. We plan to go exploring if the weather cooperates even a little. Anyone game?

Sheesh! Black Box wine is a bit too lofty for this budget hound. :) Usually Vella or Franzia fill the bill. As the admiral always reminds me, you just end up pee it away anyway, to which I reply, yeh and you could say the same about eating ice cream. Besides, wine, according to what some experts say, is better for your health, right? Perhaps with consumption moderation; is that your fifth glass? No, only my fourth. Who's counting?

Wow! Congrats. Retired in October 1997, but after a couple of years became bored. Took up sailing, which helped, but now working on my second career driving school bus. My new plan is to retire again when I turn 92. Gives me the purpose I need in my life. Besides, it's fun.

You're going to need a rich pasture to get the jersey to produce the cream for which they are famous. Let me know when you get production. I'll stop by and tap some of that cream. Makes wonderful Ice Cream. We can have an Ice Cream social on the dock.

Our family farm had one Jersey of the five milkers and I can still remember the thick layer of cream that would form in the fridge where I would scoop it out with my finger and savor it. Yum.

Just arrived at Elliott Bay marina. Planning on going to the boat show tomorrow. A great day for sailing. Winds 10-12 kts and steady. A few long tacks and then motored to make it in right at dark.

We tried Monday but got a late start and the wind was on the nose and building. Turned back at Point No Point and recorded 34 kts coming across Hood Canal. Wahoo.

I'm leaving my checkbook and credit cards in the boat. Cash only. How much trouble can I get into with a $20 bill?

How big is your appetite? As I recall, 2000 was the last year I went to a boat show, just looking at what we wanted in our next boat. Kept coming back to the Hunter brand. So glad we chose the boat we have. Hunter did a grand job in the P42. Island Packets, Catalinas, just did not cut the muster for us.

We're at Elliot Bay. We should have a couple of freebie tickets at will call, courtesy of Sea Marine in PT.
