Top side paint is looking a bit challenged as well.

In response to the thread title, Spring would seem to me the logical time for final scrubbing. Otherwise I would just be doing it over when the season starts back up.

Since my boat is easy to trailer, my habit is to take it out in December and get started on my winter projects. I scrape the algae off the bottom at the ramp while it is still wet (by far the easiest way), and park it next to my house. There I work on it on a weather-permitting basis, and it is ready to sail in plenty of time for the first warm breezes.

Of course, I have the ideal arrangement. Trailerable boat, close to the marina, room to park it at home, and semi-temperate climate.

Moss only grows between our toes up here if we stand still for more than 30 minutes. Other wise it is all good.

Winter projects, spring cleaning, summer bottom scrubbing, autumn pressure washing... seems there's cleaning part of all seasons...

Nope. Not Pete Seegar

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

A beautiful rendition, no doubt, but Pete was not the writer, rather the interpreter.
