For my fellow northern sailors: shoveling the snow out around the sailboat while it's on the trailer counts as boat time right? I mean, technically the boat is in/near water so that should count.
Thankfully my snow shovel includes a 23hp diesel motor and hydraulics, so that helps some. We had a really mild fall, but when winter finally showed up it did so with aplomb. We've had snow accumulating for a month now, today was another 3"-ish so far. I'm not complaining, I do like the winter time too. This afternoon I get my new seat put back on the snowmobile and got it fueled and ready since it looks like I'll be able to use it for a while.
Anyhoo, being around the boat while I was plowing gave me a little lift of the spirits, looking forward to next summer.
