With an early morning launch it's a good chance to make a tailgate party out of it.

Something absolutely worth seeing in person at least once.

Just imagine what it was like in the viewing area. At night it is just incredible.
Last one I saw was for the shuttle probably close to twenty years ago.

Artemis rocket was built at the Michaud Space Facilty approximately 15 miles SE of my locale. Michaud has a long history in building Apollo rockets & shuttle fuel tanks. Test firing done at Stennis rocket testing facility approximately 15 miles NE from me, in @JamesG161 back yard! Makes quite some noise when they are test firing!

I got to watch the night launch of Apollo 17 from as close as the Coast Guard would let us on the Banana River and it was an incredible event. Have been watching the Artemis videos this morning with that same brown sky and want to get back down there for the next one.

Gravity sucks.. When the moon deorbit burn occurred, it was traveling about 670mph. It slowed down to around 450mph before Earth grabbed it. Entry Interface was 24,500mph!
