Mast light power on H240

My mast lights worked earlier this season. I tried to turn them on a few weeks ago and nothing. I found a thread here about checking the deck connection. Sure enough when I took the male side of the plug apart the ground wire came loose and I figured that was the issue. I ordered a new plug from this site and replaced the male. I also sprayed contact cleaner into the female side. Still nothing. Multi-meter is not registering anything at the plug (should have tested that first, but it worked before). I took the panel off and checked for anything obvious. The wires appear connected securely. The diode is in place. Any suggestions?

Are any other lights not working. Check the battery terminals for corrosion. Then any other connections for corrosion. It is usually a buildup of green salty crud that causes these ghost problems.

Everything else is working and the contacts are clean. You may remember from another thread that I went through a long process of troubleshooting and fixing my bow nav light. That was a mystery, but it works great now. I just lost the mast light somehow. The only work I did on the nav light was up near the fixture itself.

I'm wondering if perhaps the switch went bad, but not sure how to test that.

If you can put the leads of a multi-meter on the contacts of your switch, you should be able to see if you have voltage

As I understand this no power to the deck plug? did you pull the plug out to see if clean and any peer from the leads. If no power there then take the panel off and check wire hookup. Could be a faulty switch ?

That's right - I'm not getting anything on the multimeter at the deck plug. I replaced the male side of the plug, but not the female. I checked the panel and nothing obviously wrong. I guess I'll try replacing the female side of the plug next.

I have had that on my deck plug. Unscrewed the plug and the wire connections at the plug terminals were corroded, and my boat is in fresh water. Cleaned the screws and exposed some new wire and it worked. Easy to verify by voltage test in plug holes.
