Shrouds

Does the placement of the upper and lower shroud attachment on the chain plate matter? Should the upper shroud be aft? Does one shroud have more influence on the mast than the other shroud? (I have a Hunter 19-2)
Thank You
Ric

I purchased a cable tension gage. I set the upper shrouds at 75 KGS or 9%, lower shrouds at 60 KGS or 7% and the forestry at 60 KGS or 12%. All the cables appear tight. I do not want to over tighten them.
Thanks
Ric

Sounds like a good starting point. Take it sailing and make sure nothing looks too slack when beating in a moderate breeze.

WOW, David, I am over whelmed by/with your poetic dexterity!
Nothing is more than sea worth and salty than a poet like sailor.

Has anyone lost one of their halyards down the mast? If so, did you have to drop the mast to rethread it? How did you rethread it?
Thanks

Drop the mast. Use a wire snake down the mast. You could use a weighted trace line by shaking the mast at an angle of course

Is feeding the ”fish” tape down the mast from one end easier than the other? Is there an easier end to feed from?
