Is there any advise on how to easily remove the TV on a Hunter 50 (2011). I’ve tried to get at the back and (from memory) there is no easily accessible mounting hardware. Do I need to remove the trim from the front? Amy advise is appreciated!

You might send a message to the staff at the SBO store. They are Hunter experts. One of them may have installed your TV.

I have removed the TV. You do not need to remove the frame. You can get access to the bracket holding the TV thru the top of the hanging locker located on the bulkhead in the forward cabin. As I recall you need to remove the rod that act as a closet pole and then remove a number of screws in the wood panel that forms the top of the hanging locker. You then can get access to the bracket, which I think just releases without tools. I would turn of all AC power (including inverter) before work begins as there are 120 volt outlets & plugs inside the space. Feel free to PM me if any questions.

I assumed there was no need for demolition. That’s perfect, thanks for the tip! I’ll be down to the boat on Friday and maybe snap some photos for anyone else’s future reference. I’ll reach out if that doesn’t take care of it. Thanks again for all the input

So just as an update, after many 4 letter words, I got the tv off the bulkhead. I had found the access panel behind the locker before, however I was expecting access to the TV Mount. As it turns out, it’s only 4 screws holding in a “box” and it pulls out as a complete unit. Thanks for everyone’s input and if anyone else needs I have pictures to help.

Please post your pictures. I am planning on removing my present TV and installing a larger one on the opposite bulkhead.

Those are the only ones I had on my phone. If you look closely at the second picture, you can see 4 holes, which held the Philips screws. Those screws are accessed from the locker in the forward cabin. As mentioned above you need to remove the bar and a small cover plate. I’ll keep checking so if you have any more questions let me know.

Also, if you want to remove the tv from the “box” you need a screwdriver bit called “torx”. Like an Allen key but with a hole in it.

Thank you very much for posting your pictures. I have a 41DS, I will be moving my TV to the port side of the doorway to the forward cabin. There is an alcove on the other side of bulkhead in the forward cabin that does get used. So I won't be able to recess it into the bulkhead. Of course the little existing TV on the starboard side of the cabin door isn't recessed now. I'll have to research the thinnest TV I can get plus a mount to see how far off the bulkhead it will stick out.
Unless I can convince the Admiral to give up the alcove and put a new bulkhead in to recess it. She doesn't want any TV's on the boat. I have some cute animal movies I'm going to play on our trip to the Tortuga's, to help sway her mind.

There are some pretty decent low profile mounts and thin tvs now days. As far as the admiral is concerned, just remember it’s easier to ask for forgiveness then it is to ask for permission

I have a good solution for you…
Get rid of the mount altogether.
On the back of the tv are 4 metric threads, which are used to attach to the mount.
Simply mfg threaded rods from long screws (or just buy threaded rod), and mount flat on the bulkhead with nuts and washers on the back side.
You might look at the Samsung “frame model”, which looks like a large painting once it’s hung on the bulkhead. A very elegant solution which looks like a totally custom job. The tv & frame kit are reasonably priced .
