I just learned something new. I asked here a few months ago about ideas for storing the hatch boards. No one suggested this, so I'm sharing in case it's helpful for anyone. The hatch boards fit perfectly in the port lazarette. I can't believe I didn't think of that sooner. I saw a picture online that tipped me off. I tried it today and it's perfect.

I had a boat I sailed for months with the boards wherever was handy, on looking behind the aft cabin door I finally noticed some real nice teak cleats in the shape of the hatch boards.

I bought my H240 last July and that's where the seller showed me that he stored them. I found some other solutions but they are convient there and don't take up much room. I keep two orange life jackets in the same locker along with four propane tanks for the Magna Grill. I also keep a bungee cord to hold the lid up while I move the drop boards in and out.

I have my port lazarette full of my bumpers, dock lines, water hose. extra anchor and line, etc. I keep my boards tucked in the v-berth between the mattress and hull, two fit on one side and the third on the other side.
