Eleven Portlights

Hi Everyone,

I'm now in the process of renovating my 1979 Hunter 33' and I'm curious to discover any parts, pieces, knowledge and I'm searching for portlights, 11ea to be exact, are needed in total. I'm on NW Florida and so far you guys have been great at sharing information. Thank you all very much. I can't wait to share what she looks like when completed.

I haven't tried to shop here yet. I thought that only boats were for sale. I will definitely check that out. Thank you.

I just replaced two Lewmar size "0" portlight lenses from SBO. A fraction the price of new portlights.

I appreciate you're outlook. I'm just a curious soul. Gathering different information so that I can find an efficient way forward.

I replaced my portholes on my 82 Hunter 33 with Newfound Metals portholes. Bought the at a boat show and they threw in the stainless steel screens for free.

They also have a template for drill guides. Definitely worth it. I think it was $100 returnable deposit.

You will have to remove the teak rack over the sink but it's pretty simple.
I only needed to cut out a groove for the drip channel. I used a hole saw and dremel.
Took longer to get the old ones out than put the new ones in.
You will love the cantilevers rather than the dawgs.

Replaced all of my portlites with like for like replacements purchased through this site. Was definitely the most economical choice. When you get to this project, do a search of the forum. I and others have posted extensively about this one.
