Thanks its a startAn internet search indicates you may have a Kenyon mast so suggest contacting Rig Rite for a manual on how to replace the sheaves Kenyon Spars Main Page (rigrite.com).
there are swept back spreaders and a backstay that splits about 10' up and fastens on stern on port and starboardIsn't the rig by Selden? Do you have swept back spreaders? no backstay?
Thanks looks like the right head boxThe early Selden rigs had backstays, if a Selden rig all you have to do is search Selden Mast Headbox to get an idea of what's involved.
Really quite simple when the mast is stepped, not sure that I would want to be hanging by my toenails attempting to relieve the weight of the halyards while unbolting the retainer bar and lifting out the sheave, but definitely doable.
I guess if you did one at a time it wouldn't be to bad, remove the retainer bar (1 bolt) block a halyard up to give enough slack to pull the sheave out, remove the axle, put the new sheave on the axle and drop it back in, see got one done for you already........

that's a Kenyon mast, probably from the 80's. The two bolts hold the mast head on. very simple if the mast is down. Thanks looks like the right head box
