I have a 2016 Hunter 45 and I would like advise on which brand of davits that fit best. It seems that the lower mounting will be an issue dust to the fact that access to the inside of the transom is very diffulcult.

If you want to install dinghy davits with the dinghy stowed high so you can enter and exit from the stern suggest Atlantic Towers Atlantic Towers | Products . You may have to duck under it when passing under but it will not block access like regular davits. They have many Hunter 45 customers. Below is a photo of one on a Hunter 42. That is what I am planning for my Hunter 46.

I have the Hunter 45CC - 2008. I had Kate davits installed. They worked with the marina advising them of installation. I recall them telling of a diesel fuel line to watch for. Kate also supplied an extention
The Atlantic tower was so large, expensive, and I like the tilting solar array to Kato offered. If you would like some photo; please let me know.
You should consider an engine hoist, and upgrade to the lifting blocks also. I have a 10' Walker Bay and 10 Hp 4 stroke.

Al, thanks for the advice. I would like to see some photos since I have a 2006 Hunter 45 CC.
Give me a couple days I reviewed my post and realized spell check changed the name of the davit manufacture. I used Kato Davits I’ll try to put a package together for you.
Lots of dinghy davit suppliers besides Atlantic Towers including Garhauer, Kato, Forespar Nova, Edson Marine, Mar-Tek, Ocean Marine, St. Croix, Sailboatowner, Batsystem. I installed Garhauer davits on my Hunter 386 but it was cumbersome to enter / exit from the stern with the dinghy attached.

I've attached a couple photos of the Kato Davits and Engine Hoist. For dimensions, my wife is 5' 5" . The solar panels are low enough that I can tilt array to follow the sun: the down side is I can not board the boat from the dock. If the dink were higher im not sure I would be that close to the dock anyway.
I do recommend the optional larger blocks on the davits and engine hoist. I you like, I can share the quote from Kato.
