Shortly after purchasing my Precision 23 8 years ago i discovered that i had been hoodwinked. About a month after purchase, i finally cleaned out all of debris and junk under the cockpit and discovered fractured fiberglass underneath. Go outside, look forward, the hull at stern of centerboard trunk was concaved up into the hull slightly. I had already had a previous damage, poorly repaired, crack open up at waterine on port side on first trailer ride to marina from home.Obvious this boat had been dropped or terribly hard grounded. Never could get a straight answer from the p.o. about the centerboard purchase reciept from a few years back i had found in his paperwork. So, decided to keep an eye on it and keep the boat,so madly in love!. Eight years later, admiral age and condition dictates it is time to go fast and burn gas. So, sadly, parting out my baby, then to disposal. I will still be watching and commenting here, this site has been a major thing for me over past 11 years sailing in 2 boats.
