Blower issues?

Hey Hunter lovers good evening,
The engine blower on my hunter 49 is defective, I just bought the boat a month ago so going through it to find the good, bad and ugly.
After investigating the blower 2 of the connections at the blower on the relay were broken/corroded, I replaced the relay but still nothing, I know blower works I connected it to power fires right up.
Before I head down the rabbit hole.
Questions..
1-Does the key in ignition need to be on to start blower?
2-Blower switch up or down to turn on?
3-Anyone know correct wires to pins on relay so I know it’s wired right(wiring schematic?
4-I checked power at blower switch butbb can power goes in and out regardless of switch position?
Any advice helps

To clarify #4 I checked power at blower switch which I would think should go in but not out when off and in and out when on but power goes through switch all the time regardless?

You tested the blower and stated it worked When direct connection established.

If it will not turn on, I would suspect corrosion on connections or a wire fuse blown. Ground connections would be first. Hot connections next. Then fuse. I’d be using my DVM to trace the wires and availability of power.

Ok so after putting this job on the backburner I’m back at it.
I looked at a wiring diagram for the 45cc and followed that. Now my blower comes on when I flip the switch up. But when I flip it down and turn the key to start it doesn’t run!
If anyone can take a picture of the relay connected to their blower and post it here so I can see how they have it wired that would be much appreciated then at least I would know if my wiring is correct or not and then maybe I could start looking somewhere else for the problem…

Also I’ve included a wiring schematic for the Hunter 49 but where the blower is it says to “see detail B” and I have no idea what “detail B” is if anyone knows what that is and can post a picture

that would be great…

Also here is a picture of the relay I have I replaced the faulty one that was in there but who knows maybe this one is wrong and maybe that one was wrong…

I also believe that the blower is wired thru the automatic fire extinguisher. If the fire extinguisher goes off, it shuts down the blower.

the blower circuit is simple, and the schematic is in the documents
There is a 5amp breaker on the engine panel that supplies power to the blower switch, which then controls the relay.
The key switch does not control the blower at all.
There is a beaker on your panel (under the nav seat) labelled “breaker”
Is this on???

We had the same problem with the blower. A new relay fixed it. But Art is right. There is one of those round push button breakers located on the battery disconnect panel below the settee. I believe we had to reset this when we changed the relay.

Hi George,
The breaker is not on the battery switch panel.
it’s on the main DC circuits panel, (under the nav seat), and it’s a standard toggle breaker. I’m confident this is the problem
