That’s impressively early! Ice out on Lake Minnetonka was March 31 this year, and it would’ve been possible for me to launch on that day. But the crane doesn’t get turned on until after an inspection, which is normally mid April. But like others have noted April is fickle in the northern Midwest. On Saturday and Sunday it was in the 60s and sunny. Today it snowed. Thursday, back in the 60s.I put Tally Ho in the water on April 1. Only sailboat in even today, but I got out on the water to shake out the sails twice. No water on at the marina yet, but the bathrooms are now open...and of course the bar in the Yacht Club!
I am a bit farther south than @Jackdaw though!

So nice that you married a superhero who can just pick BlueJ up by the bow and launch her without the crane. But the crane doesn’t get turned on until after an inspection, which is normally mid April.
