I have purchased a 1993 37.5 Legend. The running rigging and sails were missing. I think I have every thing figured out but the outhaul. There is a triangle slide in the track of the boom that the is pulled back to a pulley inside the end of the boom but where does the line come out? I don't see a spot in the boom for it to exit and tie off.

Does your boom look like this? This diagram is about reefing but the outhaul hardware is also shown. I suspect your line comes out at the gooseneck and is tied off on the mast. If you have a Z-spar boom you will see little "teeth" at the gooseneck end of the boom (see pic #2). Those are supposed to hold the line but they kind of suck.
Don't forget that there will be some type of tackle inside the boom to give enough purchase/power to engage the outhaul. I suspect that you'll have to pull the end cap off the boom to take a peek inside with a flash light to help determine how it's set up.... that's if no one has actual information. You can also look for the spar maker's label.... and try referencing it with a google search or rigging specialist web site such as Rig Rite or Rigging Only.
FYI, most in boom arrangements will have the block and tackle anchored so that the whole thing can be pulled out by releasing an accessible fastener near one end or the other, or both. Good Luck.

I drilled out the rivets of the endcaps to replace the sheves, while I had it all open, I ran new lines, then put new rivets in when I was done.
I had to do the same a couple years back. Not hard if you think it thru. It was a failed attempt at humor
Thanks I also ended up taking apart and figured it out. Mine has 4 pulleys each end I pulled the center pulleys forward so I could hook on a messanger line then ran a wire snake through boom with the other end of messenger for the reefing and outhaul. worked really well wasn't that hard. My out haul comes out front of gooseneck and through bottom pulley 1/3 way down outside of boom through another pulley then ties off on a boom mounted cleat.
