Has anyone replaced that hose, and what has to be removed to gain access?

I replaced my hose and the two thru-hulls.. Got everything from the access port in the toe of the V berth.. All by feel cause when ya put your arm in the access, ya can't see anything inside..

My 34 only has the one thru-hull, on the starboard side. When I deepened the anchor well, I kept the bottom part and connected the outlet to a hose that does a loop to reach the thru-hull about 3 inches higher than the bottom of the rebuilt anchor well. Has worked well, more or less like a p-trap, but I must remember to run antifreeze in it (did it yesterday) in preparation for the freezing temps of winter up here. Like Kloudie, you access it from the toe of the V-Berth, but since I was rebuilding the anchor-well, I needed to remove the bulkhead instead of going through the access port. Made the new hose installation much easier.

access thru the inspection port,
If you replace the hose make sure that you don't have any dips or loops in the hose. The Factory left a loop from excess hose which caused the fitting to freeze and crack.

yes...I have removed the thruhull drain and glasses over the hole when my Hunter 34 was on the hard this summer. I have removed the inspection port and replaced it with a larger inspection hatch to get better access to the space to replace the hose. I am working to reroute the hose thru the vee berth and to the vanity sink thru hull for the head as i am redesign the head and relocating the sink into the same space as the toilet. The old vanity space will become a wet locker.

I completed that job yesterday, in my opinion, the worse job I have done on this boat. I replaced the hose and the thru hull. Hopefully the repair will last until I retire from sailing!

I guess you are in a warm climate as we have to close the vanity sink thru hull during our winter layup.

Making the anchor well deeper and not wanting to reposition the thru-hull, I had no choice but create a loop in the anchor well drain hose. As mrntioned in my post, I must not forget to run the pink non-toxic antifreeze in it before winter lay-up. Not a problem for me since I also need to run the antifresse in the washdown pipes and hose. So I simply let the antifreeze come out out the washdown hose into the anchor well until it comes out pink out of the thru-hull. never had a problem doing it that way and being in Montreal January through early March temps dip down well below freezing point.

@Mike Oldak do you happen to have the dimensions of the toe board? Specifically the height from the v berth to the bottom of the anchor locker? I am doing the same project but unfortunately forgot to measure everything I needed.

I won't be back on the boat for another few weeks, maybe June 9.
