Inspecting the hull/ballast tank and looking for a trailer for a Hunter 23.5.

My Hunter 23.5 was hit by a runaway boat in the storage yard. The boat is probably repairable, but I'm afraid the trailer is done. Does anyone have/know where a 23.5 trailer is available?
Also, the boat itself is shifted on the trailer, no apparent hull or centerboard damage, but any tips on how to inspect to see if there is internal damage? With the trailer arm twisted, doubtful I can tow or launch safely. Impacted the bow and the trailer ladder. It was a pretty hard hit, Cal 30-2 rolling down hill. We are lucky no people were in the way.

Unless the frame is twisted that can probably be fixed. If there is and insurance company involved let them buy you a new trailer.

If I remember right Magic Tilt offered one for the 240 which would work.

Thanks. A local dealer is building a quote on that trailer. Curious, sailboat data shows slightly different dimensions for the 240 from the 23.5. (240 LOA 24.08 Beam 8.25 - 23.5 LOA 23.67 Beam 8.33). I had always thought they were the same mold.

Is the difference important?

I think the difference is on the deck the hull is the same as far as the trailer is concerned

I had a thought, late last night. If the axle is undamaged on your trailer, I'm replacing our trailer mostly because the axle is too light, and we've had to have it straightened. But I still don't feel comfortable with it. The frame is in great shape. Perhaps you could use our frame with undamaged parts of your trailer. We just decided that a new trailer would make sense for us, rather than replacing tires, brakes, axle, coupler, and lights.

On the new trailer you need to have a minimum of three supports but better four supports as the weight of the boat is carried by the bunk boards. Make sure the length of the bunk boards are the same. Make sure the supports are adjustable. Suggest extension and check load rang of both tires. suggest surge brakes

Thanks! I'm waiting to hear back from insurance. I have a quote from a magic tilt dealer close by.
with the estimate for glasswork, the trailer, and the unknown of damage to the centerboard, I'm worried that they'll want to total it. It has been the perfect little boat for sunset sailing with friends. I feel like they're getting hard to find in good condition.
