What was this rope used for? Is the current solution still? Found on my 74 Catalina in OK. Will proably make fenders out it. Thank you for your input.

Three strand with a thimble. Probably an anchor line. Measure it. If you don't need it you can cut it up and make dock lines or a spring line with it. Probably too heavy for fender lines.

Could be an anchor rode if it is long enough, greater than 100 feet. Or it could be a mooring pendant if it around 30 feet.

The "eyelets" are called thimbles and are used to prevent the line from chafing. Typically used where the anchor chain is shackled to the rope rode.
