The salon table is too large to lower for flat sleeping position. Has anyone cut it down and how?

Do u have a photo? Is it the factory table? My 2009 H36 table lowers in place fine. Can’t remember if I have to open all the hinges seats or not first. But it’s flat when I put all the cushions in. In fact, we’ve left it that way for over a month now. Makes a nicer lounge area for watching tv at night. I can send photos next weekend if it would help.
I always wanted to cut the table size down on my H356. It didn’t fit flat when collapsed but that wasn’t the reason. The reason was it was a very tight fit to squiggle in there. I’m too fat but really can’t we have some more room? That whole area was dead space to me, when the table was up.
Agree with you - its not used often at all on my boat either. Some time ago I saw where someone did cut down their table, and it looked great, but I got the impression it was a pretty significant expense. No idea how they did it, or where. There are some custom places that I suppose would do it, but wow, its expensive.
