I had the same thought when I busted one of mine of during a lousy docking ( it was all of course the admiral's fault ;) ). Then I realized that the plastic one broke up and didn't damage my hull and had a stainless one been in place maybe it and the hull would have been torn up even further. Replacing plastic of course is a lot cheaper than fiberglass and gelcoat work.

That’s a fairly common part. Check the SBO store here, if they can’t get it, try Defender.

I found them for my boat (423) but didn’t purchase them...... if you google you will find them. Just make sure of the size. Also the ss ones don’t have the piece that fits into the hole to hold in place as does the plastic ones on our beneteau.

I just googled “Stainless steel clamshell vents”...... lots of choices came up...... good luck and thanks for reminding me to add this to my list of items to buy before launch.

It’s been a few seasons but I believe it is. Check yours for length and width first. It fit two existing hole but I had to drill the third one to fit. They look a lot nicer than the plastic ones.
