Blue Solar controllers ... and dongles?

Maybe the dumbest question ever, but I thought the MPPT 75/15 I recently bought would need a dongle to program with a smartphone. But there is no port to plug a dongle into, unless I need better glasses? Then I was told the new 75/15's were "built-in" bluetooth enabled ... but I can't seem to connect to it even with three different cell phones. I get a "no devices found" message on the app.

Scratching my head and feeling slow witted here, anybody who can help me out?

Yes ... I could (will) call the manufacturer, but it's Christmas day, and we're heading for the Dry Tortugas tomorrow if the weather window stays open.

SmartSolar, new series, dongle functionality is included, built in.

older BlueSolar series only, requires a dongle

The dongle/cable plugs into the four pins on the bottom of the controller. They are below the fuse..

Gene, better check and make sure the fort is open- at least the grounds.. The park rangers may not be working, though I'm sure you could anchor in the lagoon. Take lotsa water for yourself, and some magzines for the crew that works there.

Only effect of the shutdown was, no entry fee.
