I believe those 2-in-1 blocks are called Fiddle Blocks.

When I Googled Schaeffer fiddle block as an image search I got a bunch of choices that look like what you have there.

Standup fiddle with a cam cleat. Small boat stuff. Schaeffer marine. What is wrong with it?

Looks like something that would go on a Barney Post.

There is a "contact us" on the schaeffer link that @dlochner provided. Try contacting them directly and ask if you can send a pic. They might be able to give you an exact part number with the hole spacing a match. That would sure make your life easier.

So there are stops that are broken. That is just in the base.

if you sent it to Schaeffer if they wouldn't repair or replace it.
While this happens occasionally, one needs to remember that these parts are not made for forever use. The Schaefer parts were considered the budget saver items. This made the boat available in the favorable price range.

Perhaps it is time to upgrade your critical Main sail control block.

I don't understand your explanation..... can you be specific and then proof read your comment before posting it? Please.

@Joe replace the first "it" with "is".
As for the base, I thought the cam cleat should swivel 360, not so?

It does, but it has metal stops on the sides making it only 180° turns.

It's definitely Schaefer and it was used for a 3:1 main sheet block (or a Crosby Rig main sheet arrangement) because there is no becket on it. If the becket were on that fiddle block, then it would be 4:1. The other part of the 3:1 system would have a single block with a becket. A becket is where you tie, or dead end a line with an eye splice or a bowline. The plate that holds the cam cleat makes it easy to cleat and uncleat the line. It is on a swivel so that it can follow the line holder where he/she sits on the boat.

So, that's a mainsheet jammer for an O'day Daysailer? I would upgrade that. First, I'd join the Daysailer class association, check with the racers, and see what they are using for mainsheet tackle. Probably a nice Harken jammer. Then, I'd replace it with that. I have forever hated those Schaefer plastic capped metal cams, because they don't operate smoothly. The Harken H150 cam cleat is far superior, with smoother operation. Hell, I bet any modern mainsheet jammer such as Ronstan would work better than that Schaefer cam cleat.
