While at Wally-World I saw a very interesting toy in the "as seen on TV section" Its called THE LIZARD CAM. I believe this is a must-have device. It's waterproof with 4 feet flexible cable allowing you to inspect inside Pipes... etc. Cam is with led light on the end and screen is color screen 2.4". also comes with 3 attachments Magnetic tip, Hook-tip, and Mirror-tip. Uses 4 AA bat's. Now you can see inside very small areas for inspections. PRICE $39.00

I have one made by Milwaukee and one with a smaller head from snap-on that you can inspect valve guides and stems from the backside. (Through intake or exhaust manifold) The Milwaukee is great for most anything on the boat or around the house.

"Can these endoscopes be used to for DIY colonoscopies?"
Half of one. The other half is knowing what you're looking at;). How many do you think you need to see before you have that half down? Don't know about you guys, but, for me, more than I care to see.

I was extorted into my last and only one . I don't feel the need to go through that again, DIY or otherwise.
