Help with O'Day boat identification

Hello.

I have come across a small O'Day sailboat. Measures about 12'. I'm pretty sure it's a Widgeon, but I want to be sure. The HIN is XDYA++++M76M. THe owner says it was built in 84, but the HIN would show it was built in 76. But that's beside the point. Does the XDYA mean it's a Widgeon? I can't find any breakdown of what the different letters mean after the XDY (which I know means O'Day.) ANY help is appreciated...

Thanks....I did see the page....THe problem is the boat is only hull only..no mast (poles, as the seller calls it) or sails....So I'm limited to really the HIN. Cant tell too much from pictures of the boat. It's about 2 1/2 hrs from me, so I was trying to determine how easy it would be to acquire the disparate parts and whether it was worth the time, effort, money..etc.... Thanks for the help..

The XDY = O'DAY and "A" = Widgeon
M76 = 1976 Model Year but that last character can't be "M" (only A thru L)
If you could get used parts (Mast, Boom, Rudder, Sails, etc) it MIGHT be worth doing, obviously, if you weren't picky about the rigging and could use the rig off another similar boat I might save some $$, but, by the time you buy all the needed parts, you will have quite possibly (and more likely than not?) spent more than what you would have paid for a complete, ready to sail (or at least "almost" ready to sail) Widgeon.

Here is a copy of the codes to interpret O'DAY HINs. (OOPS! Sorry that I seem to have scanned it upside down! I just got a new scanner, and this was first time I used it!

That's my thought...By the time I part it up, I will have a total that costs way more than if I had purchased something complete....Thanks again...and thanks for the HIN codes. I've printed it....
