It is just tough for some sailors to break out the hose and flush the blocks or rinse the boat, after fun in the sun, when they can hear the sirens call of a cool drink.

I forget sometimes @jviss... Your boat lives on a mooring.
Such an opportunity takes additional work to enjoy the experience.
What do you do?
I would think taking a bowl of soapy water spilled on the blocks might help. Then a bowl of clean water.
Then a glass of ice and a beverage of choice to watch the block dry...

You must live in Suthern WA.
Thats what we do Wayyy down South.
Sip an adult beverage and watch the marina boys wash our stuff, then smile as it drys.

Most of our "rolling" stuff and bearing say Water Flush only, no soap.

Actually, it's pouring rain now on the mooring in Edgartown - that will take care of washing the blocks this time! (While I sip an adult beverage....)
