Take the time it takes to heal and you'll be good as new - probably better than you have been over the last few months or years. Its odd how you can lose some stamina and just plain get up and go and not even notice it too much. Where are you now? It says US anywhere in your avitar. Do you need any help with your boat where its located while you have the procedure? I'm in Beaufort SC and if you're anywhere close and we can help let us know.

I’d help but I’m not old. Hope yours goes as smoothly as mine did. The body shave was a little awkward since they didn’t have a weedwacker for the thickest spots. I got a little pucker factor when they brought in the hedge trimmers. They put me out just to keep me quiet and from chasing the nurses. Mention my name and you’ll get a good seat.

Everyone;

Thanks for your concern. I am in good hands with a wonderful surgeon. Even my cardiologist came over and personally reviewed my results which he tooo was surprised asking about my stamina.

There are so many to include @Jackdaw @Kermit @caverun and many others as I could mention that will help you all as I am relying on the old timers. I will keep you posted

Good that you were diagnosed before a “big one.” Take care, you will back soon, in better health.

Had a quadruple bypass in 2001 at age 51. Not my diet, it was a family thing. Dad died at 52. Anyway they have come a long way since mine. I was down for 3 months, but have had no problems since. Even had a cath on my 10 year anniversary just to check things out. I also had mine after a Heat attack, which I waited 3 days to go to the hospital because I thought it was just heart burn. Yea I know that was stupid, but I didn't have any of the shoulder pain they said was a sign.
It is important to follow the rehab that they give you, especially the physical therapy.
Good luck, don't worry you will be fine.

Wish you all the best and a speedy recovery. Had a single bypass 5 months ago. Back out on the boat in 3 months afterwards. Biggest thing is being tired sooner than I was before. get your RnR and do what they say. You’ll. Be back out there in no time. Any particular questions, IM me.

Dave, I had a quad (4) way bypass surgery in 1994.....Felt bad on Christmas Eve, kept taking aspirin....sang in the choir
on Christmas morning, had lunch at Crestview CC Christmas Day, kept taking aspirin.....then Monday a.m. went to see my Doctor and he did an EKG then pronounced that I needed to go to the hospital right away.....but looking back now, it was a blessing in disguise as I've felt great ever since....I began walking, then running, working out in the Pizza Hut Corporate fitness center, and here I am still sailing after all these years....I've never had another pain in my chest since that night in 1994, so
I feel like a very lucky boy....I am going to start taking good walks again though ...Patrick in Wichita

Best wishes for a speedy recovery. I hope to see you back here soon.

In the mean time, keep a pillow handy & get used to hugging it when you need to cough or sneeze.
