Galley upgrade h34

Just Finnished my galley project that I have been putting off for the past 20 years.
Installed a shelf to mount the microwave above the back of the stove.
Used 2 wooden dowels and a set of pipe flanges to support the shelf.
Secured the microwave to the shelf with L brackets.
Wrapped the rest of the shelf with decorative spindle rail and then coat of stain.

Done.
Whole project coast about $60. Now we have a lot more counter space room
Which the h34 was always lacking. Should have done it years ago.
Happy wife happy life.

Neat, Robbie.. I am thinking I'll out one on the port side one day (been thinking 10 years or so).. Hate to put anything on starboard to exacerbate the stbd heel that was built in..

I like the extra Liquor storage space lol, but you might lose that Goose on a strong port heel.
Looks like a nice upgrade. I don't think I have enough space above the sliding cabinets to make it worthwhile on my 31.

Nice job Robbie. I was just happy to suspend the microwave to the 1/4 X 20 extra-long bolts securing the jib car track. 2 SS rods which I threaded and a SS flat bar underneat. The back of the microwave was secured to the shelf molding using 2 small SS 90 degree angles. Another improvement was the enlargement of opening of the dish rack. No more scraping of the hands !

I suspended a wire closet shelf above the galley counter from the genoa car track bolts.
