Not that I've seen. I've been meaning to make a fabric holder to hang them against the inner wall of the storage locker, but in the meantime I just prop them in the bottom of the locker ad hoc. They're heavy suckers, aren't they?

I don't have a Bene 331, but I do the same as Arf and prop them long side up in the aft storage locker. They have to go in and remain at an angle. They're not narrow enough to stay against the back (hull) wall. And, mine are heavy suckers, too. We'd like to make some saloon doors instead. Maybe an upcoming project for summer.

should be a two-track bracket in one of your cockpit lockers next to the bulkhead. A bungee cord retains them. If you don't have it, you can create it.

+1. The Beneteau 361 has them too (though I don't use it; simply place them in one of the two lockers)

Thank you all. I'll have a look in the locker. If not fashion something. My former Island Packet 35 had a spot down below made of wood where they both popped into.

I must say I am impressed with the strength of them and the locking system. It's the strongest of any boat I have had, and I've had lots of them.

My 323 has a double track at the forward bulkhead inside the starboard lazarette. The boards set in the track and are secured by a bungy cord to the wall. Not the most convenient and most of the time the boards end up on the quarter berth in the aft cabin if we are just going for a short sail.

They look really nice. I like the way they just fold onto the sides of the companionway.

They are one of the crew's favorite upgrades. They absolutely hated hauling out the hatch boards at 3am when someone needed to race for the restroom, or even on cold nights when at anchor. I love the interchangeability of the inserts for different times of year.

I finally see where the PO put them. In the port cockpit locker there are two padded cloth enclosures with velcro closures. They must have slipped them inside those and put them on he shelf in the locker.
