New Old Spinnaker

I am planning on installing my Asymmetric Spinnaker from my H290 onto my H33. It is on a roller furler. I understand it may not be perfect but would like to try it out.

1. The length of the furler will obviously be too short to span between the top of the mast and the anchor bow roller and I would like to use maybe just a Dyneema loop to extend it. Should I add the pennant to the top of the furler or the bottom?
2. What type of block should I use at the top of the mast.
3. What size line and type should I use for the halyard (3/8" ?)
4. Any further suggestions?

Thanks.

I would think the top for several reasons. First, the drum needs to be anchored to something to keep from turning, so that when furling the sail furls. Second, it will keep the center of effort lower which will lead to less heeling.

⅜" VPC should work nicely. Or even ⅜" Sta-Set X. VPC while a little more expensive is stronger and easier to handle.

Not sure of the brand. It does not have a name on it. Not sure if it is 'top down' type but when it is furled, the clew ends about 5 feet from the drum.

How did you rig it on your H29? I would think it would be the same, just would not reach as high up to the mast. Should be fine.

It is not a top-down furler because the tack of the sail is rotated by the drum. This is not a problem as long as the sail does not have a full luff edge.
