Hi all,
Just an observation here in the Abaco's this winter, there have been a lot of beginner boaters here. Yesterday we watched a ketch motor in to the sound and travel near our mooring only to run aground in the shallows. It looked like a family with four kids who had a ball jumping into the warm water and setting anchors. Two hours later the tide filled enough to set them free so they could get on a mooring ball for the night.
We've been watching that type of boating since Christmas, mostly the charter boats from Marsh Harbor. When we meet up with folks who come ashore they usually tell us its their first year.
