Well this one doesn’t have or never has had an inboard engine. I wish there was a way to find out the history of a boat. The previous owner said he has had it on the current slip for years but I sai on a YouTuber videos over two years should this boat on a different slip on the same lake.

I think the original "standard" color for the 1973 O'DAY 27 was White with a gold cove stripe, boot top may have been blue. However, I am not going to tell you that I am 100% certain of this, just going by the color that I saw for most of the 1973 models that I have pics of. O'DAY also usually offered optional colors as an added cost option. I have seen a pale blue color for 1973 as well. As others have said, check with Rudy Nickerson at D&R Marine, he was Parts Dept. Manager for O'DAY from 1973 to 1989. Unfortunately, the records of O'DAY were lost over the ownership changes In the last few years of operation. Too bad there isn't a source for O'DAY production history like there is for the Classic LYMAN powerboats, there is a fellow out in Ohio who runs a shop for LYMAN Parts just like Rudy does for O'DAY Parts, but the Lyman place can give a history of most models by hull#, the $60 package will tell when the boat was built, where shipped to, what dealer, and often the original owner! If only other boat builders could have preserved their records like that........... WOW!
