Looking good Chip. Ours is decorated with a tarp. Not picture worthy!

the first picture was taken by Gary Meyers (fellow Hobie TI sailer and local photographer). First boat is LeeandRick, second boat are some friends on a Catalina 22 and we are the third boat in the string. We had the smaller boats that can go under the London Bridge in the channel and this picture was taken just before we went under the bridge. Second picture.. "crew" on our boat

We had our Captains meeting for the Fort Lauderdale parade last night. Looks like over 100 boats. The Stargazer is going to be boat number 77.

we sure got lucky with the weather. Very calm last weekend with a near full moon. Howling winds and chilly today.. I almost thought about putting long pants on.. (Justsomeguy says the shorts and open shoes during the winter give you away as a "tourist" here.. Oh well LOL..)

This year almost every sailboat used an inverter off 12 volts and 110VAC LED Christmas lights. The quiet plus the lights was really nice. Ten years ago there would have been lots of gensets running on the boats (noisy..) I had right around 1000 LED bulbs and the inverter was drawing 4 amps at 12 volt. A few of the boats must have been approaching 2000 bulbs.

We have our Holiday on the Harbor event in Rockport Maine this weekend. I took this shot of the fireworks last year. Looks like a good weekend coming up for it. You could still sail,...

I am also using an inverter. I need to test the inverter before the parade, since Fort Lauderdale requires a minimum of 1000 watts for their audio specs. I used a 1000 watt amp with the inverter last year with no issue but had fewer lights. Doubled up on the lights this year. Lets hope I have enough juice.

I ran my entire 12 volt LED light strings off of a spare battery. I used my inverter for the blow up Santa because I didn't have time to cut the plug wire and attach it to my 12 volt Christmas light distribution panel. I bought a $125.00 PA speaker that plays through bluetooth and is battery powered for the rehearsal dinner for my son's wedding. I was worried it might die before the end of the parade but it was still going strong after almost 3 hours of music and some dufus (that would be me!) imitating Elvis

Not where I live. That's a sure sigh of a native. Shorts on the snow. Or a college coed. I can't believe the weather they can put up with before putting on long pants.
