that was the original criteria for the optimus pram. under $50. The original concept was for a bed sheet sail but the designer talked him out of that.

This looks like a Thule five footer. If it floats with body weight it actually may sail with a lanteen rig (like a Sunfish), but it’s gonna need to lose the lee boards and replaced with a piece of planking as an above bow, radially attached, full length keel board. Otherwise all this does is rotate in circles. Decades ago, in a barley pop infused challenge, I built a sailable truck sized inner tube craft. I failed three times before the thing was functional, but I had a lot of fun (and beer) trying.

As it stands I’m liking the wind powered porta potty suggestion.
