I would guess this is a TransAtlantic Windsurfer... not that I have ever seen one, but this person seems inspired to attempt it. Yikes! I hope he finds a warm route.

He's French, of course.

I really miss windsurfing! I have 3 boards and 6 or 7 sails in prime condition from the late 90's packed away in my garage. Sue is threatening and I can't bear to part with the gear. It has not been touched in nearly 2 decades!

En France, mon ami.

But who cares? We're Earthlings, mostly.

Oh no!!!! Another lost at sea for five months wannabe !!!!
Why insult the wind surfer? She appears to know what she is doing.... hell at least her sail is up :)
I'd give almost anyone more of a benefit of the doubt than those two

Engineers have a saying "A camel is a horse as designed by a committee", that looks like a windsurfer designed by a committee.
The corollary "An elephant is a mouse built to government specs" might also apply.

Gotta love the name of the boat; Mahi-Mahi. A pelagic fish with a cosmopolitan distribution. In the Atlantic it's known by its Spanish name, dorado; in the Pacific by its Hawaiian name, mahi mahi. Or, universally by its more or less scientifically-derived name, dolphin fish.

6300 km in 60 days.. she is determined, that is for sure ! that is 56.7 nautical miles per day.. so if she sailed for an average of 10 hours a day, that is 5.67 knots aveage for two months .. I am impressed..
