That picture was taken last year on a different storm off the coast of northern Minnesota.
Regardless of when those photographs were taken, they are created by a great eye with the hardiness to venture out in such harsh conditions. Great photographs are not typically easy to get, but well worth the effort once captured!

The photographer says they were taken at Tettegouche State Park, which is in northern MN. Your comment sounds as though you thought I was saying they were taken elsewhere. What leads you to believe they were from last year? The photographer gives no reason to believe that is the case.

No I think you're right. The spot was made popular for photographers last year when a storm hit and very similar photos were released by a different photographer. Some of his made national news. Nice place to catch the waves!

Yeah thats what a couple of folks thought last week in Munising MI, they were swept in off the pier never to be seen again.
