Long track

Hi all,

We were sailing on Long Island Sound and I was doing some practice with the chart plotter when I stumbled onto saved tracks. I decided to erase them to free up some memory. The first was a few miles, same with the next two, but the third included the present track. It was over 3500 miles. I guess we’re having fun.

It is fun to play with electronics. They used to say that about nuclear energy, but that has turned into a hot button.
I recently discovered that I can see my AIS track on several websites. No wonder commercial fishing boats hate AIS.

It is nice to look back at our tracks and measure our trips. Kind of like looking at old photos.

Hey you may have hit on a new way to track guys to serve them papers for such an event.
Of course this has nothing to do with the "Long Track" questioned by the OP. Sorry... Never Mind.
