The admiral had her up to 10.5 mph today. Wind was NNW 5-12mph today. I let her sail most of the day. We had one or two puffs up to 12. The rest was 6-8. She points well, and she gallops.
Weds afternoon sailing Firefly on Seneca

Wish you had been there! The wind got fluky at the end, but we sailed upwind at 7 - 10 and downwind at 5.5 mph most of the way. It was a nice 2 1/2 hour sail followed by dinner at Nickels Barbecue and a Hefeweizen or two.
She was a little shocked when a puff hit, and the boat took off! She said, "take it. Take it."
I didn't take it.
She held on.
Sounds of wind and water are exciting yet relaxing. That seems a contradiction of feelings, but often true. Thanks!

Ewwwww! Hefeweizen...I'm a barly, hops, or malt kinda guy! IPA's are my treat, wheat must be for bread and experienced captains. Lager is my thing, no hangovers, lesser experienced skippers and general beer consumers. IPA's are the dessert. I'll have to look up Nickels. Not familiar with their facility...but thanks for introducing us to the loveliness of Seneca Lake. Stay in touch.

@agprice22 tell Helene she's awesome, if she doesn't know that already. I've not seen that type of sailboat interaction and service from my Admiral yet, but hoping for a strong finish this season.
Andrew, you did a real nice job on that boat. Dean's been telling me about it. Personally, I hate cat's and tri's cause they can sail circles around our boat
