Oday 27 icebox removal

Has anyone seen/removed the icebox on an Oday 27? I am planning to add a mini fridge for shore power and use my inverter/solar panels while away from dock. My primary issue at this moment is space as 2 of us live on the boat. I was hoping to remove the icebox and make a cut on the front of where icebox is and slide fridge in there. I would like to leave the top for counter space.

Would love to hear any ideas or see photos.

Ice boxes make a good dry storage place. See if you can switch some things around to place the mini fridge someplace else.

Thanks for the response. I have really been wanting to remove the head sink, so I will measure and see if a fridge could fit in there.
