On behalf of all of us up here, thanks. We know how often these hockey players like to mumble the words, so we kinda, sorta filled in. :) Now these duck guys owe us two games, than you very much.

(oh, and lets not talk about warranty for the busted stuff in that new 700mm arena)

My Canucks didn't make it so I'm hoping for Betman's nightmare, Oilers vs Senators in the final.

Canadians singing Star Spangled Banner is symbolic that our neighbors to the north have our back and stand with us. It's all good-natured fun for a hockey game, but the symbolism is important and touching. We to the south should be sure to reciprocate. O Canada, we stand on guard for thee!

A true hockey fan knows both anthems, we hear them both so many times..... ;)

It happened before at a Toronto game

Yeah, but are any of these people crazy enough to spend $80 to go?

You see, they are selling $80 tickets to access "Ford Hall". That's best described as a concourse, you can't actually see the rink from there, and the only thing that is free, is well, access, you understand. Everything else requires lineups, and cost.

Rumor has it they sold out all the available tickets. Go figure. This sailboat crowd has nuthin' on these hockey types.

Maple Leafs were the same. 75 - 80 to "access" an area OUTSIDE the arena...

Playoff tickets were going for $900 per seat in the second section up of seating .

Oh, and the singer from the Oilers game was the same one from the Nashville game in 2014.... so might just be a set-up for Twitter / You-tube attention????

Some guy on the news this morning sold his snow machine for a seat behind the bench.
I'd sell my snow machine (if I had one) for a "black" main. :)

It warmed my heart this morning to see a story about the Edmonton Oilers hockey fans! Now that the Blackhawks are out, I've got a new team to support this year. I'd like to see the Cup return to Canada this year!

I saw that on the news this morning and was amazed. Both that they did it, and that they did it so well - an American audience would not have done better.

Maybe they really ARE the 51st state!! LOL

Just kidding, major props, seriously.

As a die-hard Blue Jays fan ( World Series era 1978 - 1983 ) I listened and sang along with many US Anthems, that and many Toronto Maple Leaf games where we had both anthems played. I know all the words to the Star Spangled Banner as well as Oh Canada.

Hockey in Canada is as big as NFL in the States. You just don't get Oh Canada at most of your games.....

Not a hockey fan at all, but it's kinda hard not to see every other person in an orange jersey. Team spirit here is something else.
