Owned the boat for a year now, and still finding spare parts all over the place. Most I've known or been able to look up. This one has stumped me. No mfg name, just a stamped number on the attachment plate. 2.27106 - nothing else. What the hell is it? Pic's attached - & many thanks in advance -

First I'd like to say that Gort is an awesome avatar pic. It looks like it's electrically controlled and vented so I'm thinking vacuum or air pressure. Could be liquid but with the vent I would guess no. Hope this helps a little.

(edit) You don't know if the solenoid is AC or DC so that is also a problem.

Looks like a vacuum/pressure vent valve.. Very similar to one I replaced in a Honda Civic fuel tank emission control system..?? Typically, the two top hoses would be connected together with power off and one or both might be vented out the bottom with power on.. ? (or reverse)
Welcome to the forums !!

I'm sure it is used to turn on vacuum-operated windshield wipers, so apparently your boat has them or was an option? There is a electrical terminal to turn on the headlights/running lights, because as the more-recent law says, "wipers on, lights on". Obviously, those wiper folks were ahead of their time.

Years ago, well, decades actually, I found a good buy on a speaker cabinet that the high frequency horn was blown. It had a part number, but nothing else. I Googled that number, and up came a picture of my horn. Since then, I tell people- especially on SBO- that Google is our friend.

Ron. While I am in total agreement. There are folks who do not know what or how to ask the question of Google. They have a difficult time believing our message.

ASK QUESTIONS? ALL THE OP HAS TO DO IS POST THE PART NUMBER.

I honestly think some Previous Owners purposely leave erroneous materials on their boats when they sell it, just to mess with your mind.

Well, there's no need to shout about it. As with everything else in life different people have different skills and abilities. Let's see if we can't be instructive about it. When I found the reference to that part, I googled something like Part Number xxxxxxx and found the reference. If I had more time I could have dug a little deeper and found a better reference as DayDreamer 41 did.

Google is our friend, is a fine mantra, however, knowing what our friend can do and how to ask for it is a skill worth learning and teaching. "Some learners are self-directed, others need explicit instruction" said the semi-retired school psychologist. :waycool:

The PO of my little boat left window pane to a car in my boat. I can tell it is probably a hot-rod of some type because its flat glass with polished stainless steel trim. There are still visible OEM numbers and a seal on the glass but I can't tell what they are. Gonna be fun trying to figure that one out.

Previous owner of our boat left an enema syringe, one of the kind with the bulb in between two hoses.

@Johnb On a serious note, that could have been used to remove/add oil, and/or transmission fluid etc. out of/into an engine body.

Well obviously it's a "whatchamacallit". Not to be confused with a "thingamajig", which has an entirely different purpose.

Would that be an outboard motor fuel line with priming pump?
