How about some sailing related humor to warm things up a bit...?

A friend sent me this photo ... and I had a few others already stored on my computer... So if you got something humorous to share.....

That first picture looks like it's from the Hugo Boss ads. If you haven't watched the keel and mast walk videos on youtube you should check them out. A bit over the top but still pretty darn cool.

When the guests suggest, without words, that you should install a Bimini:

I like it.... much easier to stow.
But honestly.... who needs a bimini on Cayuga? The temp hits 80 degrees for like 5 minutes in August... and when that happens, there is no wind anyway! Really. Your sail cover is on! Motor back to the dock and drive allllll the way into Ithaca, and have a beer. Geez.
Now if you were Watkins Glen... you could step off your boat and be in the pub in 60 seconds! Ahhh... and they have live music on the dock every weekend!

@Jackdaw

Yikes! Did the boat on the left strike the mast of the other boat as they passed?

Hope all you can figure out why this is funny (to our crew).... Hint the Class 40 had just passed our Tartan 33.

I totally concur @agprice22. Who needs a Bimini up here? I argued endlessly with the Admiral about the ridiculousness of such a cover and sternly prohibited installation...as fate or Karma would have it, installed it two weeks after this pic was taken. You nailed it with a windless day, above 80. We motored up to Taughannock State Park, killed the Yanmar, and floated for half a day as you see in the pic. Sometimes I think I should have bought a party barge instead. Just kidding!

Regardless, no need for pub visits. This Hunter is a pub...with a view! We should get together sometime. I know where you live from your pictures. I've driven by your mini boatyard many times on 434. Once we splash in the spring, I'd really enjoy meeting up with you and mate.

Well, besides the absence of a breeze, and a smaller boat with larger crew leading, I have to admit that I'm really clueless on this one. How about a hint?

I can send you the high resolution jpg and you can take it to a shop if you like.
Sure that would be great...I'll probably set the image to gray scale rather than pastels. Don't wanna transmit the wrong message. :yikes::ass:

Totally! We should meet this Summer.
I am refitting a Telstar 28 trimaran in a warehouse now. It needs serious attention: removed all the hardware, grinding, sanding, filler, and lots of paint! We plan to sail it this year.
We are in The Village Marina in Watkins Glen, slip 326.
