;^) No drone needed... This was a cropped picture taken from a boat we were about to roll. While the same LOA we had gained about a 1/2 mile in the last 45 minutes and then drove right by them. Girl power! Here is the full image taken by their fordedecker.
I thought I understood the basics of sailing but I can't understand how you could have possibly gained on that boat given the captain's superior head-gear.
I hear you. But while starting out strong, the Viking headgear juju has fallen off substantially as of late. Sadly.

Indeed. That was a crewmember who has no game. The skipper (below) knows how to wear it. Funny this picture was taken 10 minutes before we crawled up their transom. Its the same sequence. If you watch the vid, you can see the moments where the pictures were taken. The first one was the moment we ducked under his transom and stayed in clear air below him.

5 ladies wet is about 3 dudes dry, and these guys were probably not too dry ha! But seriously, I'm impressed with all that spinnaker handling. Is that part of the answer? From what I could see, the Norse-, err, peoples, seemed content to just watch theirs...
