You should have gotten there sooner Kermit. Next time, plan ahead LOL! Cindy's sister is down in the Orlando area. They had rain and little wind but escaped it for the most part. Round two next week if it curls back around and makes landfall again.

Incredible .. right after the flood here a month or so ago, the grocery stores got denuded ! Everything was gone ! Folks panic, I guess, and go and buy stuff..
I have a regular hurricane stash (MRE's and bottled water) and really don't concern myself ... except with securing the boat..

We enjoyed spam on the grill in the North Channel. It was a meal fit for a king!

Well considering my beautiful Lil Queen loves bacon and salt the grilled bacon spam was perfect! Followed that up with a cold bottle of wine from high atop a rock cliff looking out over the north channel at sunset and it was a good night for all

PS: I made some of the finest wine from bruised banana's that no one would buy.
We're deep on the middle of things now. All cable service is out. Power is flickering. We've heard transformers blowing all around us. We even lost cellular internet for a while. Cellular phone service is spotty at best. If power goes out for an extended period we'll be eating shrimp, chicken and brisket until we can no longer stand it. Or until it spoils. Whichever comes first.
