Like most slips, I have a 30A plug at the dock locker, but I am trying to put a 15A appliance in the locker while still running my 30A cable to my boat. So I need some sort of adaptor the creates a 15A spur off an otherwise 30A plug.

Does anyone know how to accomplish this? Particularly without spending $300?

Thanks!

just plug into the one next to you if it is vacant
I think you misunderstood my question. The dock locker has a 30A plug like most slips. I am trying to sort out some sort of splitter that provides both a 15A plug and a 30A plug.

Need a 30 splitter (30 amp male to 2 - 30 amp) and a 30 to 15 adapter. All available at West Marine.

You will need a 30A double pole breaker then a "branch" breaker rated at 15A. If your AC panel does not have a reverse polarity indicator then the "branch" breaker needs to also be double pole.

AC wiring in unforgiving, can be deadly and should be done correctly.

Don't want to spend $300? Purchase a 50' extension cord for $10, plug it into one of the boat's outlets and run it back to the dock box.

Haha, that's a good idea, although this is for an internet wifi router and the point is for it to run when the boat is gone.
