Performance Cruising Telstar 28 302 Watkins Glen
We saw Dean out there yesterday. Great day for sailing on Cayuga, as well. Earlier this summer, we launched our boat on your lake for a week's pre-cruise, before we took it up to the North Channel of Lake Huron. We covered Seneca from Sampson State park to Geneva, down to Watkins Glenn, and back up to Sampson. Had some pretty great sailing conditions then too.
Well stop by 326 in the Village Marina any weekend!

Here in the desert our lakes only have water in the winter and then it's too shallow to be of much good for boats of any kind. Many of us have sailboats with wheels.

I'm happy to be retiring in a place that has water, even if it is solid 3-5 months out of the year. :)
Damn, and I thought I had it bad! But my Admiral may like your wheeler better....less heel!
But when she goes over...watch out...th road rash would a lot worse than getting wet.

PS -Nice looking retriever. I can't get mine to be a sailing dog....she gets seasick

Wow. Treman is emptying out already? Maybe Dean on Ceasura, an Oday 26 will take you out! Tell him Andrew sent you...
Hey Andrew, always willing to meet fellow SBOers and sailboat captains anywhere. We're in 139 in Treman, where's your buddy Dean tied?

This is the marina at the high mountain lake I mentioned in my first post (Howard Prairie). pic taken last Friday. We like to fish mornings and evenings, along with sailing mid day, so I guess we'll be heading to Lost Creek lake tomorrow AM ;) Staying a couple days

I feel for you guys but we have been sweating all summer waiting for the weather to change. We are just starting our racing season. This was before the start of the first race of the Fall season last Sunday.

True heeling is less but it does heel. I've had one wheel off the ground a few times.

Thank you, our retriever did get sick once but he usually does great. He loves the boat.

We have just over a month left before our haulout on October 17th. This will be our first haulout and I'm not sure how I'm going to handle it. We've been sailing far more than I thought we would for our first year...16 times so far and hopefully 5 or 6 more to go...and our yard certainly shows the neglect.

Up here in The Great White North (at least on the Left Coast), there's a FEW good sailing days left! I was out for about a week, got some GREAT sailing in, never wore more than T-shirt and jeans (ok, a sweater first thing in the morning...). I do tend to leave the boat at the dock in late Oct/Nov because of storms, and Dec mainly because of the short days. But Feb usually has some great sailing weather (as long as your furnace is in good working order! ;) )

So no: no Fat Lady, no cigar...

He loves the boat
Of course he does. He has a chushier seat than my wife does on the boat. I cannot let my wife see this image. I'll be buying new cushions before sails. Bud you really need to use more restraint.

That would be lovely.
Asked her for curtains 9 months ago. She bought the fabric 8 months ago.
I got a couple of the Sport-a-Seat cushions. They have been great.

We love fall sailing and will be sailing every day for a week starting tomorrow. Then I still have enough vacation time to take advantage of the nice fall days and few other boats in the water. We usually have until the end of Oct her in New Jersey.
Here is our boy Copper, who loves to go out with us.

Out here on the left coast our biggest problem is, we don't have "on the hard storage" at most of the marinas. You can store your boat at a boatyard for about a hundred bucks a day, here in So Cal we just slap on some bottom paint and drop her back in the water and go sailing.... every weekend!... Oh, except holiday weekends, those are for the folks that only use their boats a few times a year and they are kooks on the water, kind of like a nascar race with blind, deaf, drivers.

That looks like most of the lakes here in California due to the drought.
