Moorage Rates

I wonder what everyone is paying for moorage rates here. After taxes, electricity, surcharges, etc. I'm paying $3300/yr (about $8.60/ft per month). That's up the coast at Pender Hbr, and I'm looking at bringing it back down to Vancouver. The cheapest would be Lynnwood Marina at $4620/yr ($11.67/ft per month). A nice place would be Milltown Marina on the Fraser North Arm, but that's $6325/yr ($16.50/ft per month).

Guess I'm getting old: I can remember when it was $5/ft per month...

I assume that's really half a year? BC does get cold in winter doesn't it.

Not really fair, but here on the Texas coast I pay $127 month which includes electric. $1524 for 12 months

I pay a little less than that, and it includes electricity and water.

Hey Druid, lots of BC boats moor at Semi-ah-moo marina, not far from you. Their rates might save you a few bucks. http://semiahmoomarina.com/moorage-2/
First, my Lady refuses to enter the US, so that's out (and the lineups at the border crossings are almost as bad as the Ferry). I was in Pt. Roberts for a while years ago: it wasn't too bad, but the sailing area was kinda restrictive (there's only one way to go... got bored of going through Boundary Passage)

And no, TSBB, that's not for half a year: I too sail all year (and use the boat for a "cottage" in Pender Hbr when I'm not sailing).

Thanks - never been over there. All my northern experience is on east coast, and I stay south in the winter :)

Too bad, Everett is $395.70 monthly for a 32 plus power usage. Price includes taxes and environmental fees. It changes as LOA changes.
Here is a link to the price sheet:
http://www.portofeverett.com/home/showdocument?id=8439
It's $240.15 in Oak Harbor on Whidby Island per mo for a 32 LOA.

Unless I'm reading the sheet wrong, that's CDN$5000/yr. Still less than most marinas in Vancouver, but still kinda crazy.

I was wondering how long it would take to convert USD to CAD. We love to have you venture south but not to sure it would save you much. Just making the crossing driving can be quick or take hours. Maybe a ferry would save time and limit costs.

$6200+ per yer for a 30 ft slip. Includes water and power.

So cal is very expensive.

Okay the light finally comes on. I hadn't considered the exchange rate. Still, if you get in the area it would be nice to meet.

I'm on a mooring here in Muskegon, $550 for the summer. Outdoor winter storage runs $21 to $27 a foot between the various yards. Inside storage is much more. Slips run $1500 to $3000 for the summer. I don't think any of them charge extra for water or electric. And yes, it freezes here so that's six months in six months out.

Ken, I'm also at the Port of Everett. I'm thinking my bill with all of the BS included is about $650 for 2 months for a 32 foot slip. P23 South
