Bow Thruster on Beneteau Oceancis 45 not working

Beneteau Ocean is 45 Sidney BC
Bow thruster suddenly quit working. It worked fine the previous day when docking in high winds. I tried to activate it this morning, pushed both re sand green buttons simultaneously but instead of one beep I got a series of three, two second beeps but thruster not working. Currently sailing and have not had a chance to trouble shoot. Just wanted to know if the 3 off/on beeps indicated a particular cause/solution

We'll probably..... What brand as they are all different. Maybe you overheated it the previous day. Mine has a thermal switch on it to
Prevent overheating.

Can you hear the motor running? If the motor is running but no thrust is produced, you may have a sheared shear pin. What brand is the thruster?

Beeping is probably an indication that something is busted. As rick indicated is the motor running or do you get nothing? Motors don't go bad while sitting around overnight. I'd suspect the control circuits. Have a helper engage the thrustor while you test the motor terminals for battery voltage as a start.

check the maintenance required for the particular thruster . some are sealed no-maintenance but some require oil , especially the gear leg assembly. there may be a low - oil thermal shut off.

Thanks for the suggestions. I tried the thruster this morning and it worked just fine, one beep and activated right away so I suspect a loose connection or a sensor?? Sailed all day so still have'nt looked at it. Working now but how reliable?
Will call a fellow in the morning who has done a lot of electrical work installations on my boat

Is that like a windlass that only runs when the engine is running?
